Applications of Technology

MicroStem's MicroMatrix™ technology has been used to discover and elucidate cell culture and screening conditions for many different mammalian cell types. Our technology is used daily by researchers in many different areas of cell biology. In general, researchers are utilizing our MicroMatrix™ platform to identify a set of extra cellular matrix proteins (ECMPs) that specific enhance growth and experimentation of a cell type of interest.

Along with many of the most common mammalian cell lines, the MicroMatrix™ platform has been used to experiment with rare and difficult to grow cell types, including:

  • Tissue specific stem cells
  • Primary cancer cells
  • Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSC)
  • Human Embryonic Stem Cells (hESCs)
